Inga Rumpf is a german singer somewhere between Chi Coltrane and Janis Joplin. I'll never understand, why she didn't reach real fame with her powerfull voice. Even "Frumpy" made a name then - labeled as "krautrock" ignoring her real influences like Brian Auger & "Trinity" - but was very shortliving and "Atlantis", the follow-up band, didn't made a big impression - so she slowly dissapeared from the public view and gives another example for the endless "A Beautiful Loser"-saga.
The City Preachers
Dagmar Krause was also a member of "The City Preachers", later more known for her work with Kevin Coyne, Henry Cow, Slapp Happy and The Art Bears

with Udo Lindenberg: 7 Days In April
Fun Fact: Udo Lindenberg, singing and playing drum (as he did in Klaus Doldinger's Passport) in this "One Shot Kid" is viewed over here as the one who've added the german language to german rock - which is wrong, there are phantastic bands like "Ihre Kinder" or even "Ton Steine Scherben" singin years before him german lyrics combined with a better kind of music But Lindenberg gained the audience needed for rock in german.
He's successful even today. Inga's went more religious and acts as a gospel singer.

PS: I've labeled that "Krautrock" buuut ... That's not really Krautrock it's more blues & jazz or progressive music, the old "Hamburg School". But it's listed on almost every Krautrock-Sampler, so okay, let's call it "Krautrock" and enjoy her voice.
