Snoid Studios Reggae Singles Archives (1st choice)
When I first met with "Snoid Studios" in the midth 70ies our friendship was founded on a common passion for Max Romeo & The Upsetter "War ina Babylon". He was then deeply into Reggae, had a big collection of LPs and singles he had purchased in Zürich, where a good Reggae Store was placed.
At that time I was engaged in taping everything that could be found in my friends' record collections and so this funny wall of tapes arised from that - including a Reggae part I'm just busy ripping by now. I'm on R 19 (of 36)

[Favourite Mavericks] Pascal Comelade: 1999 Jazzfest Stuttgart
Damned, I'm pretty sure there's a DVD in the archives with that concert, but I have problems finding that special treasure, So I only can provide a rip of the tape I then recorded, No tracklist (shame on me! No time to do that now)
I learned about the guy from a 2 hours german radio feature by Karl Lippegaus (btw: if you speak german, you may enjoy my radio-feature archive at archive.org) and as always when Karl proposes stuff he runs through an open door because I loved that name before or he hit perfectly my taste.
So Pascal (who - fun fact - lives near the place I spent 22 years of my holidays in the french pyrenees as - fun fact - Karl also does the one half of the year ,,,) became one of my very, very, very favourite mavericks and a "shibboleth" like ie. Kevin Coyne or Moondog - drop his name in my presence and you have a friend more ;)

Cardiacs' Tim Smith dead at 59
Cardiacs' music is noted for balancing the attack and 'raw energy' of punk rock with the intricacies and technical cleverness of early British progressive rock. The band also incorporates elements of other musical forms such as ska, mediaeval music, folk music, heavy metal, hymns and corporate anthems.[7][8][9] The music magazine Organ once commented that "one Cardiacs song contains more ideas than most other musicians' entire careers."[14]
The broad combination of styles in the band's music has sometimes been referred to as "progressive punk" – or "pronk" – and has led to Cardiacs being labelled the primary exponents of this musical style. Tim Smith rejects the term, and prefers the description "psychedelic" or simply "pop".[3][2][15] Musicians that the band have cited as influences include XTC, Van der Graaf Generator, Gong, early Split Enz, Devo, Gentle Giant, Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias, early Genesis, Deaf School and Wire.[2] Smith has stated, "I don’t know what influences us really, I wouldn’t say that we are influenced by any actual bands in particular".[16] Tim Smith has denied that Gentle Giant was an influence on the band, but Sarah Smith says that they were.(wiki)
Here we go again. SNFU singer, Ken Chinn has just died, now Tim Smith of UK new wave/punk/alternative rock/bit of ska band the Cardiacs. He was 54. I've only ever owned 2 Cardiacs live audios. Their official live album, recorded at The Paradiso, Amsterdam, 15/05/88 [let me know if anyone wants that PM's] & this show from London. Any other Cardiacs shows will be most welcome.
