The actual name is Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys (Mamou is a small town in SW Louisiana. Part of the area of the state that is heavily Cajun.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the correction. ;)
DeleteCan't help with the track selections on this one. Riley's music is more in the true Cajun style, although it has some zydeco elements mixed in. Zydeco is more of a Creole music than true Cajun, and is better represented by the Rockin Doopsie set you posted earlier (but, he is sorta a rock/zydeco hybrid. Look up Buckwheat Zydeco or Clifton Chenier for some "pure" zydeco).
DeleteI can't always have what I want ;)
DeleteBut: You don't have to wait another day -- I've just posted the 2nd Bo Show two days later and it has some very fine tracks (like my beloved "CC Rider", my fav rhythm since I first saw this crow in the movie "Fritz The Cat" fingersnipping, later on realizing it was a typical Bo Diddley). It has less audience (even I really enjoy the audience in the first show).
Enjoy, this is done that way to say "thanks" for helping with the track-names
