Wish you all the best. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteBtw, my son issued a french-belgian Bande Dessinée, it's called "Après Le Monde" edited by Sarbacane. You might like his way of drawing and the story also. Just in case,
Derek from Paris
Thanks for the good vibe ;)
DeleteWay better than some days ago. Nothing really serious now in full stable (and even no more faible) mode. Getting old ...
I had a look at the Bédé and it's pretty fine worked out, franco-belge with some asian influences (like the eyes), yep, interesting. Producing a comic is a lot of hard and complex work, I would appreciate one of my kids doing stuff like this but they have other qualities and interests.
France is way more a better place for the "9eme art", a great community of artists since the 70ies and everytime I was on holidays there I went back with a bag of magazines, bédé + bédéX purchased at the local "tabac & journaux".
Snoid Studios, friend for now almost 45 years, never succeeded in doing such a big work, maybe in lack of an author ... at the times there was a chance I was more occupied with visions of kind of game with his graphics and the music of the guys in town.
I also never succeed and wrote office software instead, but I understand how complex (aside of programming, more on doing all the rest) this kind of work is and that often the help of friends is needed.
Succeeding in doing both, story and graphic, deserves definitly respect.
As every coherent and finished work deserves per se ;)
Hardy from the town Constantine once ruled the world ;)
My little tea corner, parts of the french bédés in the back ;)
DeleteThanks for the appreciated comments. Will go on Sunday to see my son at library Tete à Toto in Paris, dedicating his BD. Glad he succeeded after years of hard work.
ReplyDeleteLike you tea corner. We all need a place where to find peace.
> succeeded
DeleteThe way to become kind of "master" is long and hard, so success includes times of disapointment and ignorance by those who don't understand what you're about to do.
I'm happy he ignored that and uscceeded ;)
> tea & peace
One of the biggest "Thank you" life spent me results of my friendship with Miss Wang (1, there are two of them so I have to "number" them) who teached me "gungfu cha", the chinese tea-ritual, when I just had given up all the securities I lived in like a bird in a cage ... just to find a soulmate, a "best friend", harmony and the peace of mind i'd lost a bit.
cheers
