Sometimes life's nice and you have a lucky hit. Mine came along at a meeting with alban & werner, two guys from "Drum", a political magazine edited by the local "Young Socialists" from my hometown, trying to recruit us for that mag.Long story short: after that meeting alban (aka "Snoid Studios") joined our mag "URKS" and werner aka "Goldi" recruited me as roadie for his UniKult concerts, he organized then at the Saarbrücken University.
And so, one afternoon in 1979, I found myself after the stage was set in an auditorium without audience and on stage Klaus Kreutzeder,of Aera jammed to Ian Dury's "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" (Hit me Slowly Hit Me Quick) coming out of the speakers
Steve & Miquette came from backstage and joined Klaus, sitting beside talking with him ... To me: a perfect view on three musicians I really enjoyed those days, Aera had played some regional festivals, and I loved Steve's great guitar-works "Green" or "L". Luckily at a certain point of conversation there was a need for a french and german speaking person - and here we go. So I met two wonderful hippies, kind & nice, impressive. As Klaus Kreutzeder was. He invented the instrument he played himself. and later reach kind of international fame & respect he'd really deserved.
